Harris - Abstract Painter
Gregory Frank Harris was an American painter born on August 7, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan. He studied at the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts, Wayne State University, and Cranbrook Academy of Art, where he received his MFA in painting in 1978.
Harris is known for his abstract paintings, which are characterized by bold colors, dynamic compositions, and expressive brushwork. His work often explores themes of spirituality, nature, and the human condition.
Throughout his career, Harris has exhibited his work widely in solo and group shows, including at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
